Although I like some of Ben's old work (hence Ev) I don't really like this, there is too much going on. Arise is such a beautiful song already.

Okay
This song is better when it's heavier.  A bit too slow I think. Though it's beautiful. Lacey's voice is .. good, as usual, though it's a bit to much vibrato.

Justice and Mercy (Violent Love Version)
I've always loved the slow version of this song. It really expresses all emotions of the song. So perfect. 

Light in Your Eyes
Beautiful vocals, very clam. I really like it.

Dear My Closest Friend
Love that is starts out really clam, and the end kind of explodes.
The lyrics are really sweet. Cute song.

Believe in Dreams
Love this song. Always have.
The guitars, her voice, the lyrics. What's not to love?
This new version, is slower and more harmonic than the old one. Really suits the song.
The end... amazing!!

Overall a very nice album, but there is nothing that really stands out. Sadly. Though I'm definitely buying it.

Flyleafs New Ep: Remember To Live

Flyleaf's New EP will be called "Remember to Live"

I'm loving all these songs, Amy Says has been one of my favorite songs ever, and Ben Moody Remix?
Pretty cool.
(If some of you don't know Been Moody used to play guitar in Evanescence back in 2003.)

The song "How he loves us" was at first gonna be featured in the EP, but the bands label didn't want them to release that song because it was too Christian. They fought for the song and it will be released the day after the Ep comes out.

The EP will be released on  30 November.

Evanescence

As you already know, the new Ev album has been pushed back. He have not been getting a clear answer why, Amy have just said "Our label have been going through some difficulties" But now it seems like we've been given the answer.

Apparently Wind-Up (their label) is being sold out!
It's being shopped with an asking price of $10 million. Which seems like a steal with names like Evanescence, Seether, Creed and Finger Eleven.

It's probably gonna be bought by Sony, who already owns 49 % of Wind-Up already..
This could be good for Ev, or it could be bad. They could get a Good promotion, but they could be forced to record more "radio- friendly" songs. Which we all now, Amy and they guys won't do! so... we might be looking at a longer delay. :/

Finally ! My Chemical Romances new album is coming soon!
I've been waiting for this album for years!
It was supposed to come out last November but if got pushed back to first Dec/January, Then it got pushed back to April. Then it was all quiet, and now ..!!!
I think the reason for the postponement was that Gerard had some kind of throat problem.
But he's fine now :)

Trading Yesterday - Shattered

My favorite song by Trading Yesterday.
Love the lyrics and Davids vocals is just ..amazing.

David Hodges (Vocaist) was a member of Evanescence back in 2000.  He left the band in 2002 to pursue other musical interests.
In 2003 Hodges and Mark Colbert (former drummer) started making music together. 
On May 15, 2004, Trading Yesterday held a CD release party for The Beauty and the Tragedy, a demo album recorded in Hodges' apartment. The demo sold out in a matter of months and attracted the attention of Epic Records. In May their first single "One Day" was released. However, the band parted with Epic Records on November 30, 2005 for unstated reasons.


After returning to independent status, the band had their first album The Beauty and the Tragedy reprinted for sale on February 25, 2006. Due to leaving Epic, the debut album More Than This was never released and the entire album leaked to the internet in December 2006. On June 27, 2006, Colbert opted to leave Trading Yesterday to pursue a career as an audio engineer.




Around August 2007, the band stopped performing and writing new music under the name Trading Yesterday. Musicians Josh Dunahoo and Will Hunt joined Hodges and McMorran, and it was announced that the band's new name would be The Age of Information, with an EP, Everything is Broken, released on September 11, 2007 and a new full length album in the works.

One of my favorite songs of Regina.
The song is pretty much about the 'modern' world and how computerized it is.

I love it cause I really relate to it. I'm terrified of whats going to happen with our society, to much of it is controlled by computers. yuck!


I love how Regina can make such serious songs and still make them kind of playful!

Terror In The Haunted House Evanescence Clips

Just a note for Evfreaks;
Many of you may not know that quotes from this movie "Terror in The Haunted House" from 1958 are taken in Evanescence songs, such as "Wash it all away", "Understanding" and also "Whisper". Before this clip the woman is explaning about a dream she keeps having to her doctor; a frightening nightmare about a haunted house. And here she comes back into the reality, scared of the fact that she nevers walks up the narrow staircase upstairs in the house, because she says that all she knows is that "- Death in it most hideous form" waits for her at the top of those stairs. I've seen the movie, and I think that you should too(especially if you're an EvFan), it's very unique! :D,

Untitled - Evanescence

This lovely song reached the surface in April of 2009, when a live DVD from May 1999 played at Vinos in Little Rock, appeared on ebay.
It hasn't got a name, Amy confirmed this saying that the song was untitled and that they never recorded the song.
That's a shame, I think cause the song is so beautiful.

The other girl singing is "Stephanie Pierce".  She also did the background vocals in the studio versions of Understanding, Lies and Where Will You Go.

Amy Winehouse, Back to Black/lyrics

This kind of music is not something I listen to very often, but when I heard the deepness of this amazing song "Back To Black" by Amy Winehouse's album "Back To Black" from 2006, I was deeply touched and gained so much respect to this woderful musician. Music is alot about being open- minded and understanding something new in every creative musical composition, and if you are open- minded I'm 100% sure you'll feel the pain and beauty in this song!

Björk Receiving The Polar Music Prize

Yes, you heard it. The wonderful Icelandic pop artist will be in Sweden today (!!!!!) and she's receiving the Polar Music Prize. She will also receive one million Swedish Kronor, handed out from the Kind himself, Carl XVI Gustaf.

She deserves it. I am so psyched for this.

The Pretty Reckless - My Medicine (OFFICIAL STUDIO VERSION)

Somebody mixed my medecine! The Pretty Reckless is a band with very catchy melodies, and this song is the second one from their EP. The vocalist is Taylor Momson, also known as an actress from the Gossip Girl series. But don't let that fact confuse you, if you take a listen you'll hear that this girl is anything but ordinary, with a spirit of pure passion and a strong voice for her young age of 17.

Evanescence - Whats happening?

So I meant to do some longer posts, and post something more than just a bunch of videos and music. So I'm guessing that many people don't even know whats going on with this awesome band?

Well, they are in the studio (apparently?) They went in to the studio in late February and then took a break in April/May. And I haven't heard anything since that, so are they in the studio now? I think they are.

The album is said to come out this fall, which I doubt, so maybe late this year or early 2011.

Then sometime this fall (?) it is rumored that the song Your Love, that Amy, and Terry performed at Legends and Lyrics will premier, but who knows, the episode was supposed to come out last fall, and then they said 2010 spring, that was obviously not true. And last but not leasts. The cover Amy did of "Half Way Down The Stairs" for Muppets Revisited. Just like the cover she did of Sally's song two years ago. Amy revealed this on her twitter a year ago, and since then we haven't heard anything new. Only that is suppose to come out this fall.
